More Team Building Fun
We have been out again delivering our Team Building programme to primary schools across South Cambs, giving children and staff fun filled, action packed Team Building Activity Days whilst helping children to develop important qualities such as resilience, cooperation, determination and adaptability.
This year we have also delivered staff Team Building training, enabling the staff to go on to deliver the programme to their pupils. The staff at Milton Primary were able to see how the programme would benefit their children and enable them to develop the skills required to improve their ability to work together.
The staff got to sample the activities, having great fun doing so. They crossed the swamp, made it across the vortex and tried plank walking races. The training enables staff to understand the importance of their role as a facilitator and the importance of allowing the children to make mistakes and learn from them. It also allows them to take elements of the programme and use it in their everyday teaching.
Girton Glebe Primary had their second Team Building class event last half term and although the weather wasn’t as nice as we had hoped the children had a great time. They really improved their team building skills over the day and could really see the benefit in listening to everyone in their group, trying out different approaches and learning from their mistakes. The children all successfully completed the 4 activities, Giant Jenga, Charlottes Web, Crossing the Swamp and Plank Walking with Charlottes Web being the most popular. On their feedback forms many of them said that they enjoyed trying new activities and working as a team, and what they learned about themselves was that they can work as a team and that they can cope with success and failure.
