I just wanted to let you know what a great time Guilden Morden had, and how amazingly well run the afternoon was.  I really do think you do a fantastic job, and the sports leaders were very helpful and polite.  The idea of having a B team and small school league worked really well and was such a help.  As a very small school (we needed the whole of year 5/6 to make up a team!) it was lovely that the children got a chance against similar abilities.

Thank you for your efforts last night. My children really enjoyed the tournament and were really chuffed to have got to play other schools in an environment like that. It really is a great opportunity for them to play in these competitions.

Jules Reston, Coton Primary School

I just wanted to thank you and your team for organising such an enjoyable quick sticks tournament last Wednesday.  The atmosphere and support from yourselves and the young leaders was brilliant. The children came away very enthusiastic to continue to play quick sticks at school.  Indeed, we had a whole school tournament at Barton yesterday in aid of Sports Relief. The year 5/6s helped the younger children who thoroughly enjoyed themselves, not only did we all do lots of fun exercise, we also raised money for a good cause!!!!!

Our children really enjoyed the gymnastics competition, it was a lovely event and so different from the games events. I thought it all went well. The parents thought so too. I particularly thought the young leaders did a good job. We performed in assembly before the event and I have lots of children in year 2 who want to be in the team next year. It has definitely raised the interest in gymnastics in our school.

Maureen, Harston & Newton Primary School

The gymnastics competition was great, thank you, and we all enjoyed the experience (although I think I was more nervous than the children!) It was extremely well organised and had the perfect balance between a fun event and a serious competition. I thought all the children behaved really well and were obviously proud of their achievements. We will definitely be entering again next year! Thank you

Carolyn Gallery, Bassingbourn Primary School

A quick thank you for the tennis comp at Melbourn.  The children really enjoyed it, and it was very well run.  I know that you work hard to make these events as smooth as possible and really it was a very enjoyable evening.

Just a brief note of thanks for an excellent and informative evening last night – Ollie (and I) got some very useful info and tips from all of the guests Clearly there is no substitute for work experience and voluntary work on a CV and it is always good to have a ‘Plan B’ to fall back on. I know Ollie plans to follow up with a number of the contacts represented on the evening.

Chloe has been amazing and worked incredibly hard with our PE co-ordinator and I feel in this way we have been able to have a real impact on PE provision. Chloe has also worked with children across the school and the plan next year is that she will begin to support staff in their delivery of PE through observing them. All the staff in school have been positive about the way Chloe has worked. Next year we are going to stop using coaches for any curriculum PE because of the impact Chloe’s support has had.

Thank you so much the Primary Adapted Multi Sport competition. Jacob had a wonderful time and discovered a new talent for Boccia! Thank you so much for putting on this event for him.

Marie-Claire Seddon, The Meadow

Amazing event today! Had never taken children to this competition before but all the children loved it! Very well organised as usual. Many thanks.

William Emery, Jeavons Wood Primary School

Thank you for organising today.  Despite the freezing conditions I was (again) very impressed with your organisation!  The children all did so well and have came back to school buzzing, all having achieved one goal or other that they had set themselves.  Your sports leaders were excellent and I was very impressed with the way that they provided encouragement for all children on the course. I hope that you have warmed up, and look forward to the next SSP event.

We are so grateful for the inclusion of small school’s competitions because as you quite rightly stated in your report, it has meant that small schools such as ours, are seeing success. They are certainly motivated in all PE disciplines which is great! Just to be able to see the look on their faces made my day.

I just wanted to say a big thank you for yesterday’s rugby competition!  The children really enjoyed themselves and we have definitely inspired them!  It was really lovely that they wanted to cheer on Steeple in the final as well (usually they are rather competitive about them!).
