New partnership to bring dance to local schools
We have recently teamed up with local group DancED to offer schools an exciting new programme of curricular based dance workshops.
DancED has been formed by two local community dance artists who are passionate about the benefits of dance in education. They offer full and half day workshops as well as weekly sessions during curriculum time. The workshops support and extend popular curriculum topics across KS1 and KS2 and can be tailored to reflect your chosen topic e.g The great Fire of London, World War 2, Africa, The Solar System, Toys, Past and Present and much more!
“The workshop was a fantastic way of linking our class learning to our PE” – KS1 Teacher, Cambridgeshire
Dance as a sport is fast growing in popularity within schools across the UK, it allows young people to be active and interactive, engaging their bodies and minds! DancED workshops encourage children to explore their basic physical abilities and safely push boundaries, developing their co-ordination, control and movement skills.
