Winners of Poster Competition Announced
In April we launched a poster competition to tie in with the work we have been doing this year at our competitions and events to link in with the School Games Values. We encouraged all children to create a poster which reflected “What do the Spirit of the Games values mean to you?”.
The competition was open to all children and young people in Key Stages 2 & 3, the designs could be up to A2 in size using pencil crayons, paint, markers, pencil or mixed media. We were inundated with entries which made the job of judging a tough one, Partnership Manager Claire McDonnell said “It was fantastic to see so many posters, the children had all put so much effort into them and had really thought about each of the Spirit of the Games Values and what they meant to them”. The top 3 entries have all won wristbands and Schools Games bags, they will also go forward to be displayed at the Level 3 Summer School Games Festival on 30th June 2016 where an overall county winner will be chosen.
