Success at Adapted Multi Sports Competition

Six teams from schools in the Cambridge SSP, South Cambs SSP and Witchford SSP met at Impington Village College last Thursday to battle it out in the Level 2 Adapted Multi Sports Competition for young people with Special Education Needs or a disability.
The participants took part in 4 sports that are specially adapted for children with SEND – Boccia, New Age Curling, Polybat and Table Cricket. The sports were expertly led by sports leaders with SEND that had been trained in how to lead and deliver these 4 activities, as well as coaches from Cambs Cricket and Living Sport.
Final Results:
1st: Impington VC
2nd: Soham VC
3rd: St Bede’s
4th: Granta School
5th: Bassingbourn VC
6th: Castle School
All of the children received a medal for competing with courage and respect. Teams are now being selected from each SSP to go through to the County Level 3 finals in March. Well done to all those that took part!
