The Youth Sport Trust have launched their own manifesto for the 2015 General Election.Unlocking Potential: A manifesto for PE and School Sport calls on the next Government to commit to a joined-up, cross departmental, approach to ensure every young person has access to high quality Physical Education and sport opportunities.

Through their 20 years of working with schools and young people the Youth Sport Trust know that PE and school sport not only improves health and wellbeing, but boosts academic achievement while building confidence, resilience and self-esteem.

With only 21% of boys and 16% of girls currently doing the physical activity they need to stay healthy, too many children are living inactive lifestyles, damaging both their health and their ability to succeed.

This needs to change. The Youth Sport Trust Manifesto asks for action in three key areas:
