Evidencing the Impact of the Primary PE & Sport Premium
Primary PE & Sport Premium – Conditions of Grant for the Academic Year 2015 to 2016
The Department for Education have produced the following document on how much PE and Sport Premium funding primary schools receive in the academic year 2015 to 2016, and advice on how to spend it.
Maintained schools, including those that convert to academies, must publish, on their website, information about their use of the Primary PE and Sport Premium by 4th April 2016.
Schools should publish the amount of premium received; a full breakdown of how it has been spent (or will be spent); what impact the school has seen on pupils’ PE and sport participation and attainment and how the improvements will be sustainable in the future. Schools should also consider how their use of the premium is giving pupils the opportunity to develop a healthy, active lifestyle.
The Primary PE and Sport Premium must be used to fund additional and sustainable improvements to the provision of PE and sport, for the benefit of primary-aged pupils, in the 2015/16 academic year, to encourage the development of healthy, active lifestyles.
afPE and the Youth Sport Trust were asked by the Department for Education to create a national template to aid Head teachers, Governors and teachers to support the online reporting and evidence the impact of the Primary PE and Sport Premium.
