NQTs – Part 1

To provide tailor-made PE support for those NQTs who may have missed a large part of their taught ITT course and/or school placement and face to face learning due to the Covid-19 lockdown. This half day course will provide  input on areas of the PE curriculum the NQT has not yet experienced or taught and give a range of ideas and methods to plan, set up and organise children in PE lessons, taking into account Covid-19 restrictions. Participants will choose a very small action research project to review before part 2 of the course.

NQTs – Part 2 (9th March 2021 – 1.30pm to 4.30pm)

This will build on the tailor-made PE support for NQTs in part 1 where they will have carried out a range of planning and teaching tasks and applied them in their action research project before part 2. Participants will review their project, consider what went well and what they need to develop in their professional practice in PE. Activities for the session will be built around the NQTs feedback in order to develop their knowledge and understanding of teaching high quality PE lessons.

Cost: The TOTAL cost of this course is £100*, which is for the 2 sessions (*1 free place to all CPD bolt on schools)
