Netball Youth Umpire Award – COURSE FULL

THIS COURSE IS NOW FULL!

This award introduces the principals of umpiring and the rules of netball and is perfect for students’ aged 13 to 18 who have an interest in netball. It is ideal for students who want to get involved in officiating and get involved at school or officiate at the School Games.

By the end of the 4 hours all participants will have a good knowledge of the rules of the game, will be able to identify obvious infringements, communicate using correct voice, whistle and terminology, keep a correct scorecard and call the score, understand positioning and movement throughout a game.

Following the course a teacher and/or club umpire will need to provide opportunities for students to practice the above skills and should be prepared to sign log books. Before booking on this course please ensure that you have the support from a school teacher or an umpire from within your club.

Cost: £20 (includes log book, whistle, score cards, rule book and certificate)

Booking is essential as resources need to be ordered in advance. Please complete and return a Leadership Training Booking Form along with payment to South Cambs SSP, Comberton Village College, West Street, Comberton CB23 7DU or sspadmin@comberton.vc.org
