Hockey Umpire Level 1 Award – COURSE NOW FULL

THIS COURSE IS NOW FULL!

This is an England Hockey Level 1 Umpire Award Course that will develop you as a confident and capable umpire of hockey and allow you to umpire matches at your local club and school.

The course is for all new or inexperienced umpires and will give you an excellent introduction to umpiring hockey and equip you with the skills and confidence to do so effectively.

The course comprises 6 modules:

Module 1 Pre course online Rules test
Module 2 The Game from the players’ perspective
Module 3 The role of the umpire
Module 4 Umpiring set plays
Module 5 Player management
Module 6 Preparation and planning the next steps

 

Cost: £50 – We can subsidise the cost to £30 if you can commit to umpiring at one of the following School Games events in 2016: Monday 7th March SSP Quicksticks Hockey Competition at Comberton VC or Thursday 30th June County School Games Finals at St Ivo Outdoor Centre, St Ives. Cheques need to be made payable to ‘Comberton Village College’

 

Participants receive a resource pack containing

a. A Fox 40 Classic Eclipse whistle
b. A wallet containing warning cards, score pads and pencil
c. A course workbook
d. A Rules Book
e. A pre match checklist
