Event Navigation
FOR ALL, TARGETED, COMPETITIVE
All of our events will follow our new event themes; For All, Targeted & Competitive. These themes have been designed to ensure we provide events to benefit all young people.
FOR ALL– These events are for everyone and are delivered in school. They focus on providing 60 active mins for every child whilst supporting their physical, social and emotional wellbeing.
TARGETED– These events target specific groups of young people who would benefit the most from having positive experiences of sport, physical activity and competition. The activities and outcomes are designed to reflect the young people’s needs and motivations.
COMPETITIVE– These events are for pupils who are ready and prepared for competition and enjoy performing and competing against others. They provide the opportunity for competition in a positive and friendly environment where the focus is on enjoyment and supporting the wider development of young people as much as the outcome of the event itself.
This is a FOR ALL event aimed at those least active children but open to all children in KS1 and KS2 to take part. The aim of this event is to foster social connections and promote enjoyment. The event will take place in your own school.
The Friendship Run will take place from Monday 17th to Friday 21st October
Children love being outside with their friends, so the idea of the Friendship Run is to give them extra motivation to be active by encouraging them to take on a running challenge with friends.
There is a challenge that’s just right for everyone whether you want to take part as a whole school, a class or even ask children to set themselves an individual challenge or a challenge with friends for the week.
Every school is different with many already doing the Daily Mile and some with established running tracks so it’s up to you to decide how to get involved in the Friendship Run Week but we hope most schools make it a whole school event with all staff and pupils getting on board.
Friday 21st October
On the Friday of Friendship Run Week we will be setting a challenge to see how many schools, children and staff we can get running for a total of 10mins at any point during the school day.
Awards
We would like to encourage children to take part in this event whilst embracing the Spirit of the Games values of determination, teamwork, passion and self-belief and will be providing schools with certificates to award to those children who best demonstrate these values throughout the week.
If you would like to take part in this event please book on below, we will send you further information and resources for the week once we have received your booking.
