Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds – Ready to move, Ready to learn
The event will focus on the holistic contribution PE can have on young people, particularly with respect to emotional, social and mental Health outcomes, as well as the more accepted physical outcomes. There will be a combination of keynote presentations and applied/practical workshops.
The focus for the 2019 Physical Education conference is about the legacy that well planned and delivered Physical Education can create.
After keynotes by Sue Wilkinson MBE (CEO Association for PE), Elaine Wylie MBE (founder of The Daily Mile), & Jon Glenn (Learn to Swim & Workforce Director at Swim England), Headteachers and PE subject leads will have a choice of practical and theoretical workshops to address focus areas that are relevant to their professional and school needs.
These may include Teach Active – Active Maths & Active English, Yoga, Gymnastics, Innovative approaches to teaching Games type activities, The Daily Mile, Speed Stacking in schools, Growth mindset through PE, Outdoor & Adventurous Activities on the school site, Active 60mins, Boxercise in Primary Schools, Inclusive Physical Education, Mental Health & Physical Activity, The Learn to swim framework & Physical Education in the water.
The conference will feature the popular marketplace for teachers to explore products and services designed specifically for the PE and sport premium funding. Extended time will also be allocated to allow schools the opportunity to network amongst themselves to discuss best practice and any challenges they currently face.

How much does it cost?
Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Schools (including Academies & Independent Schools): £75 each, reducing to £25 each if accompanied by a member of the school Senior Leadership Team.
Out of County: £100 each
Who should attend?
All people involved in delivery of PE & School Sport in maintained and academy primary schools. Delegates are advised that refreshments, lunch and resources are included.
