Event Navigation
This is an adapted multi-sport competition for KS2 children and is one of our PLUS competitions.
PLUS Competitions are for pupils with complex special needs, ie. needs that are toward the severe end of the spectrum, which could be physical, learning, sensory, or a combination of these. The key criteria for entry is that the children require assistance and support to carry out instructions/actions during physical activity.
Schools can enter individual children/pairs/small groups to take part and join with individuals from other schools to make up teams of 8.
Each team of 8 will be made up of 4 pairs and will rotate around 4 sports, Boccia, Table Cricket, Polybat or New Age Kurling.
All 8 team members will then compete in athletics activities.
The event is very much about the children having an enjoyable experience of new sports, with some element of competition.
We will then select a minimum of 1 representative team, comprising of individual’s from various schools in the SSP area to go forward to represent South Cambs SSP at the County School Games Summer Festival on Thursday 30th June.
