On the 26th January we held our first Change 4 Life Champions and Mentors training. During the day we were joined by Ian Rose, a 2 time Paralympic Judo medal winner. Ian gave everyone a great motivational talk at the beginning of the day to inspire them to inspire others to reach their potential.

We had 10 schools from South Cambs and Cambridge attended the training 5 of which brought children to be trained as of champions. We had 4 children from Monkfield Park Primary school and 4 from Meldreth Primary school who came to be trained as Change 4 Life Champions in their school. These children have been attending the Change 4 Life club in their school for some time and have seen the benefit of being part of that club. They are now sharing the healthy, active lifestyle message that Change 4 Life promotes nationally within their school to their peers.

While the children were learning to be Champions we had their Change 4 Life club deliverers training to be mentors. These deliverers can now help educate and upskill other members of staff within their schools and potentially schools locally.

In South Cambs we now have 10 Change 4 Life clubs running, to celebrate their success we are holding a Change 4 Life festival on 21st March 4pm-6pm at Comberton Village College giving the children from all of those clubs the opportunity to show their parents and siblings what Change 4 Life is all about.
