Partnership Autumn Networking Event

7 October from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm

This full day session is essential for all schools working with the School Sport Partnership and for that reason it is hoped that all PE Coordinators will attend.

Our Autumn Network event will provide the latest local and national updates, time for sharing of good practice and an opportunity to network with colleagues.

9.30am               National & Local Updates 

10.45am             Break

11.00am             Brand new: What makes High Quality Physical Education? -Catherine Fitzpatrick, Complete PE

This workshop will:

  • Identify the key features of a high-quality Physical Education lesson.
  • Support with conducting lesson observations & providing constructive feedback
  • Observe NEW videos highlighting practice and evaluate against agreed criteria.
  • Provide an opportunity to reflect on the Physical Education provision in your own setting.

 

12.00pm             Royal Ballet Opera -Create & Dance Programme -Camille Maalawy

12.30pm             Lunch

1.15pm                Good practice sharing session                       

 

2.00pm               Brand new: Assessment in Physical Education -Catherine Fitzpatrick, Complete PE

This workshop will:

  • Examine effective AFL at lesson level
  • Evaluate practice using videos aligned to assessment.
  • Discuss common misconceptions in assessment.
  • An opportunity to reflect on the way you currently assess in your own setting

Attendance is being provided free of charge for all South Cambs SSP Subscribed schools.
