Outdoor Adventurous Activity Challenge Event
10 October, 2019 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Event Navigation
The aim of this event is to offer an activity which will hopefully appeal to a different group of young people. It may appeal to your less active children or those that don’t normally get an opportunity to represent the school in sporting competition. Some of the activities will involve a reasonable amount of running though so make sure your children are prepared for that.
Outdoor adventurous activities challenge both the mind and the body. Finding points and making choices develops self-belief, respect and team work whilst all of the challenges will involve some planning, communication and leadership. Boys and girls can take part together so the sport is ideal for all ages and mixed abilities.
- The event is open to all pupils in Year 3/4
- 4 pupils per team
- Mixed teams
- Teams can include children with SEN
- Aimed at the least active children or those who do not take part in other school sports teams
- Schools can enter a maximum of 3 teams
All teams will take part in three activities (there is no need to practice the alphabeteering or netball numbers in advance, in fact it is probably best if you haven’t):
- Team score competition
- Alphabeteering
- Netball numbers
Maximum teams per school: 3
Deadline for entries: 19th September 2019
